Every building project is different, but you still need to go through essential stages to make it a success. Understand the stages of a building project so you know what you need to do and build it right.
- Initial client meeting: Discuss client’s wants and needs, budget, timeframes, and any special requirements.
- Architect agreement: We will provide 2-3 architects to choose from the client brief based on the information provided at the previous meeting. Client chooses one of architects, and sign the architect agreement.
- Council/PCA meeting: Chosen architect will organize a council or PCA to discuss permits of the architectural proposal.
- Sketch design: Concept design, which incorporates all the relevant information from the client brief and preliminary council or PCA meeting into a series of simple floor plans and perspective views for review and / or discussion. This stage requires the survey plan.
- Permit: DA,CC, and / or CDC
- Pre-construction: Sign the construction agreement. Project schedules, pricing, and home warranty insurance.
- Construction: Updating client on progress on regular base on site meeting and discuss the revision/ amendments
- Completion: Final OC and minor defects to fix
- Warranty: 6 years for major defects, and 2 years for defects which are not major defects.
